3. The only acceptable method for outdoor or underground cable connection is the use of a suitably rated enclosure Example is the LED Logical JB3003 shown in Fig 2. Correct Installation of Inground Luminaires

4. Any type of flat cable is unsuitable for outdoor installations as it cannot professionally terminated into a glanded junction box as required.
5. The use of any type of tape or heat-shrink is no acceptable and will not provide adequate long term integrity for wet areas
