Read how our Industralight team delivered top lighting for Glen Waverley Sports Hub's courts. This $26.7 million facility needed LED lights that handle Australia's tough weather. They also had to meet strict AS 2560 lighting standards. Our custom manufacturing created weather-proof fixtures and poles. These stop glare and shadows across all courts. The lighting turns evening tennis into a great experience. It also keeps neighbours happy about the light spill.

PROBLEM
Lighting up Melbourne’s newest tennis hub
Glen Waverley Sports Hub needed good lighting for 18 tennis courts. Two of these are main show courts, but this wasn’t just about putting up bright lights. They needed smart outdoor sports lighting for a world-class facility. The project had many challenges. These needed our skills and careful planning. Weather protection was a concern as the lights had to handle Melbourne’s conditions. This includes hot summers and heavy winter rain. The site sits near homes, so we had to control light spill and glare, and keep the community happy.
Players needed steady lighting without shadows so it wouldn’t hurt their game. This applies whether they play for fun or compete at regional level. People walking around the big sports hub needed safe pathway lighting. This is important for evening visits. Our team saw this as a chance to show our top work. We wanted smart lighting that balances performance with being kind to the environment. The tight deadline meant fast delivery. But we didn’t cut corners on our high standards.

Australian tennis facilities face tough environmental challenges. These separate basic setups from professional-grade solutions. Our work goes beyond just placing fixtures. We create lighting systems that perform well in any weather.

Stopping overlap through smart analysis Our team used advanced computer software to map every overlap zone. This careful approach makes sure we get the right lighting. We avoid unwanted light-spill that could affect nearby properties. Advanced lighting calculations found the best fixture positions. Our attention to detail made sure there was little glare affecting players.
SOLUTION
Building the perfect lighting system through teamwork

Computer testing ensures real-world performance
Purpose-built parts made for Australian conditions Our manufacturing skills delivered weather-proof poles and custom LED lighting. Each part went through quality testing. This makes sure it lasts long in Melbourne’s climate conditions. Fast delivery kept the project on track while maintaining our high standards.
We used top-level 3D computer models to test the lighting setup. We got the best performance before any equipment left our facility. These tests made sure we were providing the best product. Our testing found the best pole positions with maximum lighting coverage. This covered all courts and walking areas.
