THE CHALLENGE OF LIGHTING MANY SPACES UNDER ONE ROOF
Bracken Ridge Tavern stands as a northside institution. For nearly 50 years, this landmark has welcomed local families and friends. Second-generation owners Chad and Elisabeth White invested $10 million in transforming the venue. They wanted to create an all-day dining destination. The renovation brought together different environments under one roof. Each space needed its own character and atmosphere. Consequently, all areas also needed to feel connected as part of the same welcoming venue.
The electrical contractors working on the project contacted Industralight early. They needed a lighting supplier they could rely on to deliver a wide range of solutions. Task lighting needed directional downlights for bathrooms and kitchens. Ambient lighting allowed for strip lighting and garden spikes. General-purpose fixtures like panels are needed to illuminate broadly. Emergency lighting also needed to be installed across the site.

Industralight’s team worked closely with the electrical contractors. We began by understanding the specific requirements for each area. And this collaborative process ensured every luminaire would perform its role perfectly. Across the site, we recommended fixtures that aligned with the new styling developed. And also the specifications required for optimum performance. The emergency series of downlights and exit signs adheres to Australian Standards. Exterior lighting, including landscape spikes and battens, is IP-rated to withstand the elements. Strip lighting uses our advanced LED technology, made to last.
And the downlights are configured to use dimming to create a family- friendly mood. Before manufacturing began, Industralight provided data sheets and engineering data for approval. This step ensured the contractors could verify each luminaire. They needed to meet both technical specifications and aesthetic requirements. Once approved, the team manufactured the fixtures with any necessary customisations. Products were delivered to the site across several staged shipments. This approach aligned with our manufacturing and their construction timeline. Throughout the process, Industralight maintained close communication.
