Industralight Project The Commons, Wellington Street

OFFICE

DESIGNING LIGHTING FOR VARIED WORKSPACE NEEDS

Flack Studio designed The Commons on Wellington Street to be warm and welcoming. Yet it still needed to function for modern office work and collaboration. The project required lighting across the multi-floor co-working space to elevate the environment.

From offices to open-plan work areas, the fixtures needed to be reliable and look the part. A combination of luminaires were on the plans, including linear, downlights and pendants. And our team had to deliver high-quality products within a strict deadline.

DEVELOPING BESPOKE SOLUTIONS ALONGSIDE STANDARD PRODUCTS

Our specialists reviewed the plans to understand what each space needed. Then our team provided recommendations around the types of products we could supply. And we also made custom solutions for spaces that needed more artisanal fixtures. Throughout the project, we stayed in touch with the contractors. This made sure every luminaire matched both the look and function they wanted. And we provided detailed information for each product to get approval. Data sheets and technical drawings outlined key specifications required for each fixture. Following approval, we organised delivery times of the products in stock. And our

manufacturing arm got the custom lighting into production. With multiple deliveries and bespoke products, our team’s attention to detail kept the project on track. Industralight specialises in providing multi-product projects delivered to spec and on time. Our team develops proposals for contractors, builders, architects and designers across all industries. These include: • Residential and living spaces like Oran Park Metro apartments • Health and aged care like the Prince of Wales Hospital • Retail and showrooms like the Bay City Motors’ dealership
